The evenings work was a Mark Masters degree for Bros. D Everitt and G Clark.
The degree progressed very well and was thoroughly enjoyed by the candidates.
Thanks from the candidates for the large turnout of visitors and lodge brethren who helped make the evening truely something to remember.

Tracing Boards

Last meeting, instead of a degree the Lodge presented the 3 degree tracing boards to our newest master masons. There was a poor turnout of visitors but strong support from within the Lodge. It was also a chance for our Bro. Inner Guard to deliver some ritual work from the floor for the first time, as he presented the Tracing Board from the 3rd Degree, so well done to Ian! Congratulations also, to Bro Alec on his superb delivery of the 2nd degree board. Sadly PM Davie Barclay could not attend to give his unique rendition of the 1st Board but RWM Craig Roger stood him in a timely manner.

Lodge of Sorrow for Bro Neil Malpass PM

Fife No. 19 recently held a Lodge of Sorrow for P.M.Bro.William Neil Malpass. Several other brethren of lodge 19 were also remembered at this ceremony. At this meeting, a total of 57 brethren signed the tyle. There were visitors from 15 different Lodges, some from Lanarkshire and Midlothian; also present were 6 members of the Provinical Grand Lodge of Fife and Kinross headed by the Provinical Grand Master. A collection for MacMillan Cancer Support realised a sum of £177 which is to be increased to £200 from Lodge No.19 funds.
R.W.M. JH. of Wilsontown Ironworks St. John's Lodge No.236 Forth, Lanarkshire gave a vote of thanks and exchanged fraternal greetings with Lodge No.19, on behalf of all the visiting brethren. The Lodge of Sorrow was a very moving ceremony of remembrance, for our departed brethren.

New Master Mason at Lodge 19!

Lodge 19 was delighted to deliver a third degree to our newest Mason, last night, making Gary Lodge 19's 'youngest' Master Mason. It was good to see a selection of visitors there from several other Lodges in the Province most of whom stayed for a special 'harmony' after-wards.

We had a series of short speeches, toasts, songs and jokes which were appreciated by the assembled brethren. Songs we heard were, the Dundee Ghost, Streets of London, The Road and the Miles to Dundee and by request, Killiecrankie. Well done to all the degree team and to those who offered items at the harmony. A big thanks too to those who supplied food.

Coming up

The Lodge is having a short break over Christmas but will be back on January 6th with a special meeting when Bro. Kevin Thompson - Senior Deacon - will give a lecture on Burns as a Freemason. This will describe Burns time in the Craft, the effect that had on his success and will mention some of his contemporaries and their influence on his writings. It will be illustrated by some of Burns masonic songs and verse.

All masonic brethren very welcome.

Christmas Party!

The Lodge echoed to the sound of young people on Saturday 19th December when Santa paid his annual visit.
Thirty two young relatives and friends had a great two hours in the afternoon which dancing, party games and of course, jelly and ice cream! Bro Mike Ford PM was the chief organiser on the floor and Bro. K Thompson SD provided the music. Thanks to all the brethren who contributed time and energy to this and to the parents and friends for coming along.

Our regular Lodge meeting on Wednesday 4th November saw the Initiaition of Bro.Daniel Everitt.Amongst a good turnout of members and visitors were Brethren who had come a fair distance-from the "Silver Capital" of the world in fact:"Wallace", in northern Idaho,USA. Brian Becker and his father Bill are members of "Lodge Shoshone # 25" A.F.& A Masons in the "12th District" of the State of Idaho. They were holidaying at "Kilconquar Castle" and made due enquiry with Provincial then were pointed in our direction. We were delighted to have them visit us. They were suitably impressed with our labours of the evening and were given Lodge ties as a memento. In addition they took photos of some of our historical artifacts. We trust the tongue of good report will be heard in our favour when they return with our Fraternal Greetings to their Mother Lodge.
